Call us converted! We’re a Doona family and we’re not going back.

Even at 10 months, this is just so dang convenient and easy to use. Perfect for domestic travel or anywhere you’re driving a lot and don’t have a lot of stairs. Perfect for those early pediatricians visits where you take baby from car to doctor.

If you are a minimalist and you want to buy the fewest possible baby gadgets. This is the perfect stroller and car seat combination.

We bought the Nuna RX Pippa car seat because we already had a stroller we liked and thought the Doona would be redundant. But now, I would trade my old carseat in a heartbeat.

Full disclosure, I have always struggled being a minimalist and I went through a phase where i collected single purpose kitchen gadgets and we now have 3 strollers. 🤣

All that to say, I would still keep my travel stroller (ideal for urban, international travel, and stairs) and main stroller (sturdy, large basket, perfect for family outings, and smooth strolling).

The Doona isn’t the ideal choice for every outing, but if you can get pretty damn far with this as your main stroller.

We just bought a Doona… and honestly, I’m scared it won’t be worth it.

Here’s my dilemma: our baby is already 10 months old, which means we only have 7 more months of use (up until 15 months). But is it really that much better than packing a stroller and car seat separately?

We’re heading to Vegas soon, and here’s where the Doona makes sense: no way are we dragging both a stroller and a car seat through airports, Ubers, and hotels.

Public transportation is out, so having one piece that does it all could save us a lot of effort.

But at nearly $700, is the convenience worth it?

I’ll be posting a part 2 with our honest review after the trip.

This was definitely one of my top 10 fears about giving birth.

This is your sign to take your time to labor at home. If you have a comfortable set up at home, it will most likely be way more comfortable than the hospital.

I went to the hospital when I was 9 cm dilated. And still had to push for 3 hours!! After that experience, having the baby just fall out would have been a good thing. 😂

The best part about crowning is that you are basically at the finish line!

Congratulations! 🎉 You are about to meet your baby and there’s no greater feeling.

That said, there’s a reason people call it the ring of fire. 😆 For me personally, it felt less like a ring of fire (because that implies there is an inner area that is unaffected) and more like a rope burn or two hands twisting around your wrist but on your lady parts.

I definitely felt lied to but who knows maybe that was for the best. 🤣

I’m soooo curious though did you remember crowning? 😂 was it worse or better than you thought it would be?
